Interested athletes submit, via email, a Letter of Interest to our club Treasurer that explains "why you want to become an Rocky Mountain Racer; and include an attachment of your performance history over the last three ski seasons.In order to ensure that athletes receive highly personalized programs and attention, RMR maintains a high coach-to-athlete ratio. While the number of available spaces is limited, RMR strives to accept as many dedicated athletes as possible, aged 11 and up. Having athletes in each age category helps to foster athlete-to-athlete mentoring. If you have high competitive ambitions in biathlon or cross country skiing, please read the membership process below or contact us for further details. If you would like to arrange for a training drop-in session and/or meeting with our head coach, please send an email to our head coach, John Jaques, directly. Athlete Membership includes the following steps, designed to help the athlete and club determine compatibility of the program, athlete goals and commitment level: 1. 2. Your submission will be reviewed and, if approved on a preliminary basis, a meeting with the
Head Coach will be arranged 3. Training Session drop-in 4. If you still wish to pursue membership at this point, the RMR membership committee will complete the application final review process 5. If approved, you will be asked to complete and submit an Athlete Contract 6. Payment of fees. |
