I was born in Banff, raised in Lake Louise and have lived in Canmore since 1988. I’ve always been heavily involved in sport. While growing up I competed in cross country skiing, cross country running, track and mountain biking, while also enjoying climbing, hockey and hiking. Finally choosing cross country skiing as my “primary” sport in 1999, I raced competitively for 12 years all over Canada and the United States. I won 5 gold medals at Canadian National Championships (relay and sprint relay) and was an alternate for the 2008 World Cups in Canmore, Alberta.
Since the beginning of the 2010-11 ski season I switched from racer to become the assistant coach to the Rocky Mountain Racers. I’ve taken my 12 years of racing experience and I am now continuing on with my coaching education, working towards becoming a fully certified coach at the highest level.
